Samir Yaqoob Al Nafisi

Mr. Al-Nafisi has extensive management experience in a number of different sectors, including trading, manufacturing and financial services. He is currently General Manager of Yaqoob Al-Nafisi & Sons Company, and former General Manager of Al-Nafisi Trading Company, both based in Kuwait. Prior to this, he held managerial positions at Kuwait Commercial Bank and Kuwait Insulating Materials Manufacturing Company. Mr. Al-Nafisi has equally extensive experience of serving on the Boards of numerous financial institutions and companies in the GCC. He is currently Chairman of International Turnkey Systems (Kuwait), Vice Chairman of Kuwait Finance House, and a Board member of Gulf Investment House (Kuwait), and Gulf Finance House and Khaleeji Commercial Bank in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Ahmed Rashed Al Qattan

A Certified Public Accountant from Georgia State Board of Accountancy, USA, Mr. Al Qattan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Bahrain. Mr. Al Qattan has extensive experience in the banking, manufacturing, oil and gas, trading and contracting sectors across the GCC. Before joining Tameer, he was Chief Investment Officer at Gulf Finance House and, prior to this, a Partner at Arthur Andersen in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Mr. Al Qattan is Chairman of Bahrain Investment Wharf and Vice Chairman of Tala Property Development Company.

Dr. Khalid Abdulla

Widely acknowledged for his commitment to social and economic development at a national level, Dr Khalid has a number of affiliations, including his position as Vice Chairman at the Economic & Financial Studies Committee, as member of the National Committee on World Trading Organization, and as member at the Bahrain Economic Society. Dr Khalid has a high regard for promoting education, infrastructural development and is therefore highly active in projects spearheaded by the EDB, such as the “Economic Reform Vision for Bahrain”.
Dr Khalid Abdulla was appointed CEO of Reef from its inception. Before his assignment, Dr Khalid was Assistant General Manager of Business Development in BBK, a post which positioned him at the forefront of project development and change management, including projects on regional expansion.

Sh. Dr. Fareed Mohammed Hadi

An accomplished and widely res-pected Sharia scholar, Dr. Hadi holds two degrees from Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, Riyadh, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: a Master’s degree in Islamic Call and Ihtisab (College of Islamic Call) and a Bachelor’s degree in Prophetic Sunna and its Sciences (College of Fundamentals of Religion). He also holds a Ph.D. in Islamic Law from Edinburgh University, UK. Dr. Hadi has served as an Imam and Khatib at Al-Darwish Mosque in Bahrain, and at Khadim Al-Haramin Mosque in Edinburgh.

Laith Al-Memar

Mr. Al-Memar has a wealth of regional and international experience in architecture, design, construction, project management and property management. He has worked in Europe, North America, and the Middle East. Prior to joining Tameer, he was Senior Architect and Project Manager at Gulf House Engineering in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Mr. Al-Memar is the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Bahrain Investment Wharf and the Managing Director of Tala Property Development Company. A Certified Architect, he holds a B.Sc. degree in Architecture from the University of Baghdad, Iraq.

Majed Abdulla Al Khan

Mr. Al Khan has extensive experience in the fields of real estate, private equity and corporate banking, and was involved in the establishment of AQARI Real Estate Company, Falcon Cement and Jawad International Fashion. He held senior positions with HSBC Middle East and Khaleej Finance & Investment Company before joining Tameer. He is a Board member of Real Estate Financing Company (Reef) and Tala Property Development Company. Mr. Al Khan holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Finance and Accounting from the University of Northumbria, UK.

Mohammed Abdul Khaliq

Prior to joining Tameer, Mr. Abdul Khaliq held a number of management positions with Bahrain Kuwait Insurance Company in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He also served as Chairman of the Market Committee for Property and Casualty Insurance in Bahrain. His current Board memberships include Chairman of Coldwell Banker Bahrain, and Vice Chairman of Adhari Park Development Company. A Chartered Insurer, Mr. Abdul Khaliq is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, UK. He also holds a B.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Bahrain.

Mohammed Abdulla Isa

Prior to joining Tameer, Mr. Isa held several management positions at Unilever, where he spent several years based at their Dubai (UAE) and Jeddah (Saudi Arabia). His extensive experience includes project risk assessment, and due diligence and valuation for disposal of businesses. Mr. Isa is a Board member of Bahrain Investment Wharf, and an Executive Committee member of Tala Property Development Company. A Certified Public Accountant from Colorado State Board of Accountancy, USA, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Bahrain.
